Unlike most PE and PVC films, films produced from engineering polymers require a far more engineered color concentrate:

• Engineered films used in optical and lighting applications have zero tolerance for undispersed or poorly distributed masterbatches
• Carrier resin selection is critical to meet certain rheology, impact properties, gloss levels and physical property demands of engineered films
• These films are often processed at elevated temperatures where proper pigment selection is of the upmost importance
• Engineered films are often laminated to other surfaces. Proper additive selection is required to promote good adhesion

To support our efforts in this market, we operate a lab scale film line with the capability of running films in nearly every thermoplastic polymer, at thicknesses as low as 50 microns.
