Penn Color offers a wide spectrum of colorants dispersed into numerous solvent-soluble polymers used in a variety of ink and coating applications.
Nitrocellulose chips and pastes are available for use in label and packaging inks, in coatings for wood and metal, and in cosmetic nail lacquers. Our co-polymer vinyl products find use in traditional gravure, flexographic and screen printing applications. Penn Color also has CYMK dispersions designed for use in several digital printing applications such as signs, display graphics, billboards and vehicle wraps that utilize traditional solvents, as well as eco-friendly and low odor blends.
To meet the needs of the automotive coatings and industrial markets (both OEM and Refinish), Penn Color offers highly transparent concentrates composed of high performance pigments dispersed into acrylic and CAB binder systems. Penn Color is also involved in the manufacture of customized dispersions unique to our customers’ specific needs which may utilize a variety of other polymers such as polyamide, alkyds, polyester, polyvinyl butyral and polyurethane.
Because of certain unique physical properties, solvent based products will continue to be utilized for the foreseeable future. Since sustainability is important to us all, we invested in an on-site Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer many years ago. As a result, Penn Color’s VOC emissions to the atmosphere meet current US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) criteria for Maximum Achievable Control Technology and Best Available Control Technology.
Penn Color has a fully staffed and experienced research and technical services group. We are committed to problem solutions and welcome new opportunities to help grow your business.
