Penn Color expands facilities in the Netherlands

Penn Color proudly announces the grand opening of its expanded facilities for PVC and engineering plastics masterbatches and specialty coatings
at its site in Venray, the Netherlands.

Penn Color completes a $12M expansion of its facilities in Venray, the Netherlands.

Added are new production capabilities for highly concentrated PVC and engineering plastics color and additive masterbatches. The expansion also supports the production of high-end specialty coating. The site will now produce masterbatches for use in PVC profiles and siding, calendared PVC films, and various high-value engineering polymer applications. The facility currently produces thermoplastic masterbatches for packaging, water-based inks, and coatings for wallcovering and flooring.

Emphasis on sustainability was a large part of the design process. Energy-efficient additions include solar panels, heat recovery from production processes, and heat pumps instead of traditional heating and cooling.

Upgrades include a new Customer Innovation Center for client collaboration sessions. This showcases Penn Color’s new rapid digital color matching and prototyping system. The expansion also includes state-of-the-art laboratory space, warehouse storage, and office upgrades.

“With the expansion at our Venray facility, we are investing in our client’s future, ahead of their needs,” says Kevin Putman, Jr., Penn Color’s President. “In doing so, we are able to capitalize on future opportunities and expand our partnerships with our clients. The new Venray site provides enhanced levels of service, support, and access to world-class capabilities. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness to our clients. What makes us different is our agility and ability to offer our clients unique solutions and unrivaled levels of custom design. This is what makes Penn Color a valued partner.”

Grand opening ceremonies will occur on October 12, 2019, for Penn Color employees and invited guests. Festivities will include presentations by Penn Color’s President, Kevin Putman, Jr., Managing Director of Penn Color International BV, Cees Roeleveld, Bart van Tienen, Operations Manager Penn Color International BV, and Venray’s Alderman and deputy mayor, Jan Loonen. There will also be a site unveiling, facility tours, and an evening event for employees and their families.
