For our formulations, we carefully consider both the end-application and the manufacturing process of the product, to select the polymer system that will enable the best aesthetics and functional performance. We take advantage of our expertise in both thermoplastics, as well as inks and coatings, to get a deep understanding of the entire structure of the final product, of all the individual layers that make that structure, and of the complex interactions between the layers. This understanding is also critical for the harmonization of colors between the different end-products, despite differences in manufacturing processes and usage conditions.

Flooring is one of the most major contributions to home and office decor and must endure the harshest conditions with traffic, staining, and soiling. Hard or soft flooring, low or high-performance polymers, and more or less complex structures can be combined with adequate color technologies to offer a full spectrum of aesthetics and performance.

For Luxury Vinyl Tile, our ink systems use high-performance water-based polymers to match the lamination temperature and pressure requirements in the manufacturing of the multilayer boards. In addition to their decor function, inks also create the bounding between the printed film and the surface the film is laminated on. For soft flooring, we provide single pigment dispersions and the corresponding color-matching database to offer maximum flexibility in design and manufacturing. Our formulations and manufacturing techniques are specifically designed to reduce the risk of clogging spinnerets and breaking fibers in fine deniers.

For countertops, solid cabinets, partitions and bathtubs, thick sheets are an option that is sturdy, beautiful, and resistant to cleaning chemicals. Manufacturers introduce colors and special effects, including the natural look of marble or wood grain, for these large vertical and horizontal surfaces.

The main objective of our formulations is to open new colors and special effects spaces, allowing customers to create unique and differentiated products. We use combinations of organic and inorganic pigments as well as dyes, to drive the aesthetics and the performance of the products. Our developments are supported by an extensive materials database, and formulations are validated in our QC lab on industrial equipment.

Modern lighting technologies offer more opportunities than ever to tune the way a room feels. As part of a lighting system, covers overcome a challenging technical contradiction, hiding the actual source of light, while offering maximum transparency to diffuse light without loss or distortion.

For lighting, our formulations help create a perfectly uniform light diffusion, while maintaining maximum light transmission. Perfectly managing the tightest particle size distribution is critical to performance and is achieved by combining an optimum balance between polymers, pigments, dyes, and other additives, with a multi-stage manufacturing process and multiple quality checks along the process. Dispersions are available for acrylic, polycarbonate, and polystyrene applications.

Synthetic decking is a long-lasting, hassle-free alternative to wood. Leading brands make a difference with a strikingly natural appearance while offering decades of warranty on non-fading colors, structural integrity, and other properties, including surfaces that stay cooler.

Formulations for decking use a very specific set of pigments and UV protection chemistries. Our best-in-class formulations protect not only the pigments but also the polymer itself against degradation by sunlight, creating a synergistic effect for protection. For aesthetics, formulations focus on delivering tight consistency for the base color, while we match polymer rheology with the extrusion process to create a "consistently inconsistent" natural wood grain look.

Synthetic fencing adds dramatic curb appeal to any property while being virtually maintenance-free. Beyond the aesthetics, color solutions help avoid chalking and yellowing, and protect the structural and dimensional integrity of the structure for decades.

We engineer UV stabilization and heat management additive packages for fencing, specifically to avoid pigments and polymer degradation over time. The mostly inorganic formulations help maintain color and the matte effect while reducing warpage. Decorative coatings can be used as a complement to the product design, to modify appearance and physical properties. Product validation relies on in-house accelerated weathering tests, as well as tests on outdoor weathering stations in three different climates in the US.

Liners with bold colors and effects give a dramatic look to a pool. Premium liners will maintain their aesthetics for decades while being exposed to intense sun, chemicals, and/or salt.

In our formulations for pool liners, we bring together our expertise in both thermoplastics and inks and coatings. Our masterbatches for vinyl films deliver highly chromatic colors and special effects while using a very specific palette of pigments that are chemical and UV-resistant for color stability. Our dispersions also stabilize particles in water-based inks, delivering maximum resistance to UV light, chlorine, and salt.
