What we stand for
It is the policy of Penn Color to operate its facilities and to manufacture its products in a safe manner that protects the health of its employees, customers and stakeholders, and that preserves the surrounding communities and local environments.
GOALS
What we want to achieve
- Operate to maintain EHS compliance in all EHS programs within Penn Color.
- Adopt and maintain EI-IS standards for all operations worldwide.
- Maintain product stewardship at the highest level of priority for all products and services.
- Minimize wastes and emissions from all of our operations and operate to achieve sustainable development.
- Commit to continual improvement in all programs
- Develop the systems and commit the proper resources to achieve uniform EHS compliance.
STRATEGIES
How we will reach our goals
The EHS Department has been charged with carrying out this policy and will:
- Assess the EHS impacts of our products.
- Establish and manage EI-IS programs to assure compliance.
- Conduct periodic EHS performance audits and take corrective action when necessary.
- Promote the stewardship of Penn Color products and services.
- Inform all involved persons about the safe handling of Penn Color products.
- through labels and related product information.
- Review proposed new construction, capital projects, and real estate transactions.
- Work with trade associations, government and non-governmental organizations and the public to develop equitable laws, regulations and practices that protect human health and the environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Who is accountable
Every employee is expected to adhere to the spirit and letter of this policy. It is recognized that management has a special responsibility to implement this policy and to keep affected persons (employees, customers and the general public) informed about EHS risks and acceptable practices. Employees are encouraged to bring deviations from this policy to the attention of relevant management.
By working toward the attainment of the goals contained in this policy, employees will be assisting in the continued grO\vth and viability of our company.
