The coronavirus epidemic continues to impact all our lives and our businesses. New and unique challenges are popping daily. At Penn Color, our #1 priority is the safety of our employees. Following this is our intense need to support our clients, suppliers, and partners.
Many countries that we operate in are mandating the closure of most businesses that are not life-sustaining. Penn Color is a manufacturer of functional technologies for a multitude of life-sustaining industries, including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and healthcare industries. As such, our manufacturing and R&D facilities remain operable.
Consistent with our core values, Penn Color has made significant changes to the way we operate. We are following all local and government recommendations. Throughout our global facilities, we have reorganized team structures and schedules to meet and exceed guidelines. Our plans expect social distancing at all times to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19 across teams. We have contingency plans in the event quarantine of a team or one of its members is necessary. We are counting on these measures to keep our employees as safe as possible and to avoid disruption for our clients.
During these unique and challenging times, we see the greatness of humanity. Over the past few weeks, I have been overwhelmed by the support coming from our clients, suppliers, freight partners, and others, but especially from our employees. The Penn Color family is going above and beyond to ensure we maintain a safe work environment at all our facilities. They are doing everything practical to ensure our partners continue to receive the level of support and service to which they have become accustomed. This dedication by our employees is what clients experience when working with Penn Color. It is what makes Penn Color unique.
