TPO and TPE

Thermoplastic polyolefin elastomers (TPO) and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are blends of EPDM rubbers with suitable ratios of polypropylene to form a compounds characterized by low stiffness. These polyolefin alloys can be produced directly during the polymerization phase or by blending the components individually and compounding the components with special additives.

Penn Color has expertise in matching all forms of TPO for various applications including automotive interior, automotive exterior, and food packaging. Our TPO dispersions can be developed using PP, PE, or TPO as the carrier resin, depending on which works best in our customer’s compound.
