“The plant was designed to have energy efficient lighting with motion controls in the warehouse, to compliment the natural lighting from the windows that are installed along the east and west sides of the building,” said Tom Cramer, General Manager for Penn Color. Cramer further stated, “The equipment for production and the laboratories are all new and the latest energy efficient models available”. Operations are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2011.
To compliment manufacturing, the new facility also has a full service color laboratory for the design of new colorant formulas, research and development, technical support, and quality control. “Initially the operation will employ 12-15 people, with plans to more than double that number over a four year period.” Penn Color’s Industry Manager, Bob Kaminski explained.
