Colorants for Cast and Extruded Acrylic Sheet

Penn Color's 11 series pigmented, liquid plasticizer dispersions are designed for use in opaque and translucent cast acrylic sheets. The special pigments used in the product line are suitable for outdoor applications, and are thermally stable for acrylic castings and thermo-forming. Our products are formulated in a special plasticizer, which offers total compatibility throughout the casting process with MMA and the syrup.

The viscosity of the colorants – normally ranging from 400 to 2,000cps – is suitable for use with the monomer or the syrup. Every batch produced is tightly controlled for color shade/strength and viscosity. This product line comes in 19 standard colors, including standard white, lighting white, blacks, blues, green, yellows, oranges, reds, maroon and tan.

For extruded acrylic sheeting, we produce a full line of solid acrylic concentrates. Sold as pellets, we can use our standard high-flow PMMA carrier resin, or any carrier resin of your choice. Our technicians are skilled in measuring and certifying colors using transmitted color values, reflectance values, or both.

Penn Color also produces black and blue transparent colors for solar applications. These products are available in chip (dry pigment dispersion) form. These colorants create exceptional transparent products used for skylights, recreation vehicle windows, and security shields, among others. The products are suitable for all outdoor applications.
