Solvent Based Dispersions for Inkjet Ink

Penn Color's PennJet solvent-based pigmented dispersions are designed to produce the highest quality inks for today’s digital printing applications. High performance pigments are utilized to impart maximum outdoor durability and are dispersed to submicron levels for ease of filtration and consistent printing for your customers. Each product in our standard solvent line is formulated with a modified copolymer vinyl resin system to perform at finished ink viscosities of 3-20 CPS and to be compatible with a number of Ketone and Ester solvent blends including Cyclohexanone, EB Acetate and MEK. Every batch produced is tightly controlled for color shade and density, particle size and viscosity stability and can be purchased in either chip form at 50-65% pigment loading or let down into a paste for ease of handling and filtration. This Line is also available for letdown into "ECO Solvents" or "Mild Solvents."

Penn Color's Inkjet products are field tested with over 14 years of outstanding performance in printers all over the world. For most printers in operation today, our average particle size of 250 nanometers provides the highest print quality, optical density and prolonged print head performance. Recent developments in print head technology and demands for higher resolution have created the need for pigment dispersions with an average particle size of less than 100 nanometers. Penn Color has developed a line of products to meet these requirements without sacrificing any of the key performance properties such as lightfastness and viscosity stability.

In addition to our standard line of solvent based dispersions, Penn Color also produces a line of highly loaded pigmented PVB chips with solubility in alcohols and esters for adhesion onto many rigid plastic substrates. As in the standard modified copolymer vinyl line, this line is formulated with high performance pigments and produced to the same stringent particle size, density and viscosity specifications.
