Penn Color is actively supplying color concentrates for all molded applications, whether it's for shutters, cedar shakes, roof tiles, and others. Coupled with our extensive involvement in extruded product like siding, decking, trim boards, and railing, we have the knowledge and experience that you can rely on.

We have an entire group of technicians dedicated to the building products industry, and we have the ability to work in all polymers, whether it's PVC, (or the various PVC replacement polymers), a polyolefin, or any of the engineering resins. We have a full array of weathering equipment including Xenon, QUV, and outdoor testing to make sure our formulations meet or exceed your expectations.

Pigment and additive selection is critical in this industry, as a poor selection can cause a catastrophic failure in the field. We perform extensive testing and weathering on all new pigments as they are introduced, to ensure we develop the best weathering product, with the most cost effective ingredients. We work closely with many major compounders, and with all of the major producers of "weatherable" polymers, and formulate our colors around each of their individual guidelines.

Finally, the lot to lot color consistency in this industry is of the utmost importance. The controlled premixing, extrusion, and post-blending procedures that our concentrates are manufactured under, allow us to certify outgoing color specifications of 0.5 DE units, or less if needed. Our available .045 mini-bead & .030 micro bead allow for precise feeding, and very consistent color from part to part.
