Founded in 1964, Penn Color has been an industry leading producer of color concentrates and pigment dispersions for plastics for nearly half a century. Each of our global facilities develops and manufactures a full line of high quality color and additive masterbatches in all thermoplastic polymers.

End Markets:

  • Primary end markets for our products include packaging, building & construction, synthetic fiber, films, compounds, and cast & extruded sheet.
  • Other typical end applications for our products include toys, marine, automotive, housewares, food service, electronics, medical and many others.

Product Lines:

  • Masterbatches compatible in all thermoplastic polymers including Polyolefins, Styrenics, PVC & PVC replacement polymers and most engineering polymers.

Manufacturing:

  • Penn Color owns and operates four masterbatch facilities in:
    • Hatfield, PA
    • Ringgold, GA
    • Milton, WI (operational in early 2011)
    • Venrey, The Netherlands (operational in late 2010)
  • Each facility operates with a fully functional color matching laboratory.
  • Optimal product consistency from lab to production and from facility to facility is achieved by:
    • Uniform extrusion equipment and processing parameters across all laboratories, manufacturing plants, and production lines
    • Global raw material pallet
    • Standardized formulation guidelines
  • Global masterbatch capacity of more than 25 million tones.

Research and Development:

  • In addition to the color matching laboratories at each facility, Penn Color’s Global Research Center is located in Hatfield, PA.
